About This Venue

The Assembly Hall building owned by the Church of Scotland is run by the University of Edinburgh. Used for the General Assembly, as well as Conferences and Events, the Hall is run by Assembly Theatre during the Fringe Festival. The Assembly Hall has recently had a new stage and lighting equipment installed. Adjacent to the Assembly Hall is New College, the University's Divinity School. Rainy Hall and the Baillie Room are now used for Assembly Theatre's activities.
